Tyler Posey Is Sexually Fluid, Claps Back at ‘Gay Baiting’ Allegations

Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey is once again opening up about his sexuality, and this time, he hopes to clear some things up. In a new interview with NME, Posey was asked about cyberbullying, and relayed a story about the harassment he’s gotten online over allegations of “gay-baiting.”

“Someone asked if I’d been with men [as well as women], and I said yes. Since then there’s been this really loud person online – I’m pretty sure it’s only one person – and they’re trying to call me a ‘gay-baiter,’ pretending to be gay to get money, essentially,” Posey told NME.

Posey is currently dating Phem, a Los Angeles-based musician, who is also queer. “I’ve been with everybody under the sun, and right now I’m in the best relationship that I’ve ever been in with a woman, and she’s queer too,” he says.

“She’s helped me realise that I fit under the queer umbrella and that I’m sexually fluid, I guess.” NME pointed out that Posey quickly corrected himself, saying, “No, not ‘I guess.’ I don’t want anyone to take this and be like, ‘Well, he was kind of wishy-washy about it.’”

Posey has talked about his sexuality several times before, but never had an “official” coming out moment, and honestly, he shouldn’t have to. In a previous Q&A on OnlyFans, Posey revealed that he’s “blown” other men before and said“ to anybody who is new here and asking if I’ve hooked up with guys before, the answer is yes.” He also confirmed that yes, he has bottomed (with a strap on).

Even before that, he released an Instagram video following a viral attack on three trans women on a Hollywood sidewalk. “I don’t care to say it, but I’ve been with trans women before. I’m confident with my sexuality, I love everybody,” he said in the video after condemning the attackers.

When an interviewer asked Posey about that post, and described it as coming out as bisexual or pansexual, Posey didn’t deny it. “Originally I was wanting to shed light through whatever way that I could and then I was hit with wanting to come out myself with that whole thing, and be honest about it,” he answered.

I know there’s a lot of kids who look up to me and I just want to fucking get rid of that stigma,” Posey continued. “You can be whoever you want to be and get with whoever you want to get with and it shouldn’t affect you.”

Posey said that since those comments, one particularly hateful troll has been singing him messages telling him to kill himself and that the troll killed his mother. “I’m sober now and I’ve been working a lot on my mental health, so I’m in a place where I can somewhat laugh at that kind of thing,” he said, “but I know that other people who deal with this kind of shit may not be as strong mentally.”
