Who knew something so pretty could come out of human waste!? Thousands of people were treated to the light above show that resulted from urine, more specifically, astronaut urine.
Yes, 10 days worth of urine was dumped from the space shuttle Discovery and created a light show that left some on the ground amazed, though I bet they didn't know they were seeing glistening pee! Talk about a golden shower!

Out of curiosity, where did you get this tidbit of info? I was under the impression that all human waste was recycled and reused, and that included urine. There was nothing on it at Astronomy Picture of the Day.
