“Thank God I’m Full of Holes”

Scott Hutchison, the lead singer of Scottish band Frightened Rabbit, bears a slight resemblance to Jake Johnson of New Girl fame mashed together with Zach Galifianakis. He’s got a great beard, and I’ve thought about what he might look like naked quite often. To hear him sing about his “holes”, in any capacity, is a very erotic experience for someone with a dirty mind like mine.

And now that we’ve got all the over-the-top sexual stuff out of the way, let me hit you with a moment of sincerity—Frightened Rabbit’s “Holy” could very well be my favorite song of 2013. It’s difficult to explain the appeal beyond the way the music makes me feel like my heart’s going to float out of my chest and start doing the Charleston in front of me. While I feel a vague connection to the lyrics, it’s not enough to completely justify why I love this track so damn much.

Maybe it has something to do with Scott Hutchison’s hole(s)? I’ll admit, most of the time when I listen to this song, I don’t get visions of his hairy pink pucker lowering down onto my rock hard cock. This is something I should probably change, given my line of work.

  1. A music review/introduction I can actually read in its entirety. Sorry, but the new “interns” make me want to gouge my eyes out when I start reading their posts, and I usually end up not even trying to listen to whatever music they’re writing about. Thanks Dewitt, for doing what you do so well! And for bringing this guy to my attention. Added to my playlist!

  2. Yeah, I do realize. Thus the “”. Hoping that maybe they’ll tone that mess down some so more of the music featured will have a chance to actually get listened to in lieu of a “This post has made my eyes bleed after the first two sentences; must hasten my way past this post.”
