The always infamous Ted Haggard is back with a new interview and an interesting take on his feelings toward the gay community. Even though he insists he is just a "heterosexual with issues", his ordeal gave him a more compassionate view . Though I'm sure he still just wants to make us all straight and thinks we're going to burn in hell. Oh well.. take what you can get.
He said of his experience:
"And unfortunately, it was about the most socially unacceptable type of thing that you can have. But, it was good for me as a heterosexual evangelical Christian, father of five, 30-year husband of Gayle. It was good for me to go through the Christian hatred of people believing that I was a gay man — and hating me so strongly because of it. And so because of it, my compassion for the homosexual community has gone up incredibly."
This guy obviously has a lot of issues to work out. What do you guys think?
