Simon Cowell Quits American Idol

Simon Cowell, American Idol, quits, judge

Your mother may have told you that winners never quit and quitters never win, but she obviously wasn't able to see Simon Cowell's future. Rumors that the acid-tongued and brutally honest American Idol judge would be jumping off ship have been circulating for quite some time, and now they've officially been confirmed.

Enjoy the ninth season of Idol, because it'll be Cowell's last time at the judging table. He'll be moving on to serve as an executive producer and judge on the US version of The X-Factor, set to debut on Fox in 2011. With the additional title of "executive producer", Simon will inevitably rake in more cash if the series is successful in America. Now this leaves one big question–who could possibly replace him on Idol?

  1. He will be missed. Paulas’ drugged giddiness, his crass brit sarcasm were great together. The only other people I can think of to replace them would be Rupaul, Ant, Roseanne or Judge Judy….. Just trying to think of the bitchy ones….

  2. I think this pompous arrogant sack of s–t should not have been on the show to begin with since he is a producer and gets money off every contestant on the show who puts out a DC/video. (In their contract he gets royalties) so he is going to pick the ones he thinks would get him the most money in his bank accounts. He literally owns the winners/etc and can tell them what they can and cannot do concerning their careers. Biased? Hell yes. Good by you scum. Go flash that “I am a God” smirk elsewhere.
