Every now and then you get someone on American Idol who looks like a famous celebrity. Unfortunately, our girl Allison from this season looks like Fiona from Shrek… in her ogre form. I mean if Allison doesn't win American Idol, she can always replace Sutton Foster in the Broadway version of Shrek. She would be a shoe-in for the role of Fiona.
What's a Fiona without a Shrek? Well, we found the perfect former American Idol contestant who can replace Brian James D'arcy as Shrek in the Broadway version. Wouldn't you agree that Melinda Doolittle bears a striking resemblance to everyone's favorite ogre? The fact that she has a very short neck doesn't help her much.
Anyways, I obviously am just kidding when I say these things and both contestants have amazing voices. At least they both have careers on Broadway if their music aspirations go nowhere. Thoughts?
