The gay serial killer, or serial killer of gays, known as the 'Rainbow Maniac' has been caught in São Paulo, Brazil. The killer had been haunting city parks to find and kill gay men.
Retired police officer Jairo Francisco Franco was arrested after a witness identified him as the killer of a gay man on Aug. 19. He allegedly killed 13 men over a year-long spree that began in early 2007. Knowing a couple of gay men in São Paulo, I'm especially glad he got caught. Hopefully they have the right guy!
