Sally Shapiro: “If It Doesn’t Rain”

If you have a few extra bucks (or an account on Spotify), I’d highly recommend checking out Sally Shapiro‘s latest album Somewhere Else. The Swedish singer, along with producer Johan Agebjorn, churned out an impressive set of utterly addictive electro-pop tunes that work especially well with her lighter vocal delivery. While I’m particularly fond of “Don’t Be Afraid“, I’d have to say that “If It Doesn’t Rain” is a close second in my book. The music video for the latter premiered last week on Idolator, and the pair had this to say about the clip:

“We happened to watch this old Czech cartoon from the ’50s and thought it would fit perfectly to ‘If It Doesn’t Rain ‘ — it has the same chilly feel and it asks the same question as the lyrics in the song: are they really made for each other?”

The cartoon footage works especially well with the song, almost as if they were meant to be together. I know, I know! You probably don’t want to watch an animate music video when you could be watching Colby Keller masturbate, but please consider giving this one a chance. It’s good stuff.
