Rachel Maddow Keeps The Pressure On

Rachel Maddow is not letting up on her coverage of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and neither is Anderson Cooper for that matter. Both cable news hosts are gay (don't tell Anderson we know) and have been covering the issue more regularly than their hetero peers.

Rachel discussed the Supreme Court's refusal to hear a challenge to DADT, while Anderson chats with the recently dismissed Lt. Dan Choi.

I think it's great they keep talking about this issue. At this rate some action is likely to happen by the end of this year.

  1. Guys, follow the story of UAFA, the bill for immigration equality for gay binational couples to sponsor the foreign partner for citizenship. There was the 1st hearing last week on this (huge deal!). Check immigrationequality.org . We need to put pressure on Congress for this bill.

  2. The Gay Left is beginning To realize that Democrats are liars.
Obama, The First Gay President? Hardly. The ADVOCATE is reporting that the White House will not move on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.

  3. But Obama will still get your votes when he runs again, regardless of his stance on “don’t ask, don’t tell” and the Defense of Marriage Act. How do I know this? Because he has a D after his name, and when it comes to discrimination, being a Democrat means never having to say your sorry.

  4. Washington Blade: Gay rights bills remain stalled in Congress – So let me get this right. When the Democrats held the Congress for nearly 40 years (until 1995), there was no significant gay-rights legislation passed. And now, after all of the promises and money given by The Gays — no progress after the Democrats have held Congress for two more years and now the White House. Hopeandchange is for suckers.
