Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron will play a married couple in an upcoming film called The Danish Girl. The movie is based on a true story of artists Greta and Einar Wegener. Nicole will play Einar who dresses up as a woman to stand in for a model that Greta, played by Charlize, was suppose to paint.
The portrait became insanely popular in Copenhagen, Denmark around the 1920s which resulted in Greta encouraging her husband to adopt his female counterpart. In 1931, things start turning sour as Einar decides to get a sex change operation which would become the world's first transsexual operation. The operation shocked the world and posed a problem to their marriage.
Hmmm…this movie sounds interesting. So Nicole will be playing the guy before and after the operation. I wonder how they are going to make her look manly for the role. Will Nicole and Charlize have an on-screen kiss? Also, who in their right mind would encourage their spouse to adopt the identity of the opposite sex unless they are gay or bisexual?
