Must Watch: Shrek and Crew Loves You… in Spanish

Check out this hysterical video as Shrek and crew sing and dance to their own version of the "Numa Numa" song. If you don't understand what they are saying it's because they are singing in Spanish. Heck, I don't even know Spanish and I found this video to be very entertaining… maybe even more so than the original. Where else can you see a singing drag queen besides at a gay event? Oh wait… that's not a drag queen in the beginning?

  1. The beginning sounds like “Live Your Life” TI w/Rihanna
    Um, that wasn’t hysterical…..or funny.

  2. here you got a translation/ interpretation of what it says,
“faggot who? faggot you, faggot me, faggot ha-ha
faggot who? faggot you, faggot me, faggot ha-ha”
“bravery, out in the light, if you’re gay you. Think about it, it’s your life, and if they say something
(let them say whatever they want)
    bravery… (a lot of bravery)
how dark is a closet… get out of there, and come here!
your destiny is to be happy”
(bis)”Party! Party! gay gay feather, gay gay feather
gay gay feather, gay gay feather
Party! Party! gay gay feather, gay gay feather
gay gay feather, gay gay feather”
“What does it matter if the child comes out gay,
you were born gay, even if its hard you have to shout it out loud
    i’m gaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy”
(bis)”Party! Party! gay gay feather, gay gay feather
gay gay feather, gay gay feather
Party! Party! gay gay feather, gay gay feather
gay gay feather, gay gay feather”
“faggot who? faggot you, faggot me, faggot ha-ha
faggot who? faggot you, faggot me, faggot ha-ha”

  3. Actually, “feather” is Spanish slang for “flamingness” or however you’d say that in the US.
The whole thing is a submental joke at the expense of gays and gay visibility.
The Spanish aren’t very renowned for understanding that mocking groups of people based on idiotic/stereotypical notions that they have of said people is harmful or insulting to the people in question. Look at the whole thing with the Spanish basketball team at the Olympics in China. They all posed smiling and pulling their eyes as a mockery of what they perceived Asian people to look like, and when everyone was shocked, they continued completely clueless as to why that was offensive to anyone, insisting that it wasn’t.
That video really shouldn’t be on this site as something funny. It’s more parodying of gay people for a cheap laugh.

  4. To start of I have to say I do consider it to be somewhat histerical for the whole missed concept they have of gay related issued in the shrek movies. Second goygayguy or w.e you should be one to talk about stereotypes when you just made an assumption that all Hispanic/Latinos backround individuals tend to mock other by w.e the fact is of this others that might be considered funny by someone else. They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and me as a self proclame jerseyrican think your being pretty stereotypical because I don’t go around mocking other or their ethnic backround and I am Puerto Rican so don’t go around making those types of remarks!

  5. Yeah, this is actually about 2 or 3 years old and it is far from being “an homophobic mockery,” if anything it is a song about gay pride, coming out of the closet and not being ashamed of being gay because is something you are born with.
    Thanks for posting that Andy.
