Do you guys remember the song "Lean Like a Cholo" by Down AKA Kilo? Yeah I didn't think so. Anyways the song was kind of catchy in a bad way. It was one of those songs that you hated but you caught yourself singing the lyrics. The song never really caught on and the cheesy low budget music video didn't help either. Well, I guess someone else thought the same and that's when Dora came in the picture. Who knew that Dora was into gangsta rap. Heck, I like Dora's version better than the original.

You are mistaken. I don’t speak down to you from a throne. I speak from under your foot. What you see as a work of skill and cleverness, I see as another fine example of trying to push all Latinos into one box. We are a diverse population with very few examples in the public sphere and the video just shows a shining example of people’s unwillingness to see us as anything more than cholos.
