Miss Universe Organization Wants Anti-Gay Ad Taken Down

Carrie Prejean

The Miss Universe Organization sent a cease and decease letter to NOM demanding that they take down the Carrie Prejean "No Offense" anti-gay marriage ad. The pageant organization does not want NOM to use copyrighted material to further their own platform.

If you try and watch the video on YouTube, you'll notice that it has been taken down because of a copyright claim by Mario Lavendeira (AKA Perez Hilton), but the organization continues to play the ad on their website.

I have a hard time believing the pageant is just protecting their copyright and nothing else, but I'm not complaining.

  1. no, a deceased nom would be too much of an outlandish statement that they’d have to compromise it down to shutting down. thus, the real plan.
