The Obamas were kicking it with the Queen of England yesterday when a seemingly innocent touch to the Queen's back by Michelle Obama started a mini (and pointless) controversy.
This isn't the first time someone has gotten in trouble for touching the Queen. In 1992 Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating was heavily criticized for placing his hand on the Queen's back.
But judging from Buckingham Palace's response, they aren't making a bid deal out the situation saying, "This was a mutual and spontaneous display of affection and appreciation
between The Queen and Michelle Obama.”
So while much of the media is trying to stir the pot, I think it was a fine and genuine moment that the Queen reciprocated. What do you guys think?

Well, I’ve touched more than a few queens in my time and it seldom created more that a personal stir in our pants. So, I doubt much more will happen with this queen even though it appears totally mutual.

Racism is racism, jay. Religious bigotry is still bigotry. And it exists even in Europe. What you don’t see aired through their media is equally dangerous as what we see by the mainstream media here in the US.

Racism,prejudice is everywhere.I know many euro whites who are prejudiced against american whites or the conservative ones.However its been well known that Europe is alot more tolerant of blacks than this country is and for any one who is white to deny that is either ignorant,in denial or foolish to try to deny the experiences of many african americans,minorities who have been to europe and experienced the tolerance there compared to here.
