That was not funny, only because it was a little too smart. I mean, I get the logic, but because of how much thought it takes, it’s not funny.
Simple translation of what the video says for anyone who didn’t get it:
If gay marriage is legal, and your partner dumped you and marries their same sex partner you no longer have to pay alimony… So as long as gays can’t marry, straight former spouses of newly gay/lesbian exes will have to pay them money forever. It’s a stupid reason, but still one more reason you should support gay marriage… and we need all the reasons and support we can get since we are still technically a minority group who need protections from the majority opinions…
