Author of Jurassic Park and the creator of hit TV drama ER has died of cancer at age 66. Michael Crichton's books sold over 150 million copies worldwide, and he had a major impact on science fiction in the last 20 years. It's hard to imagine another dinosaur flick approaching the immensity of JP. For his readers, it's good to know he wrote a final novel which will be released in 2009.
