MANHUNT Cares: World AIDS Day

 Us_broadcast_worldaidsday2008_01

Today is World AIDS Day. You might see people wearing red ribbons in memory of friends, loved ones, or humanity in general.

MANHUNT and MANHUNTCares.org join forces with Public Health Solutions, New York University and In the Life Media to support HIVBIGDEAL, a series of online HIV prevention videos that were proven effective by MANHUNT members who participated in an online research study.

David S. Novak, MANHUNT’s new Senior Public Health Strategist says, “This is the first time in MANHUNT history that members have influenced and contributed to a WORLDWIDE WORLD AIDS DAY campaign.”

If you haven’t been tested for HIV infection, visit any of our WORLD AIDS DAY co-sponsors above or go to MANHUNTCares.org to find out how to get tested.

  1. a) How widespread is the phenomenon?… b) are the rates of new infections zero or nearly zero for sex partners taking part in the phenomenon?… of the strategy of “Let’s get tested TOGETHER BEFORE we have sex, for A VARIETY of STDs.” Sexual health checkups reduce ambiguity and can be like anything else POTENTIAL sex partners do together.
