Lianne La Havas: “Lost & Found”

What’s that you say? Monday mornings aren’t depressing enough for you? Well, then I have some bad news you’re going to love! English singer Lianne La Havas just released her official debut single “Lost & Found”, and it’s an early contender for “Saddest Song of 2012” (even though it was technically released in 2011).

Sample lyric: “You broke me, and taught me to truly hate myself.”

That’s kind of how I feel when I read the comments section on Manhunt Daily… But, uh, all “jokes” aside, this is a legitimately beautiful arrangement, and we can’t wait to hear more from Lianne La Havas! Her debut album Is Your Love Big Enough is set for a July 9th release date in the UK. Will you be checking it out?

  1. she has a wimpy, stringy voice singing a wimpy song….
I hate that kind of music.  I  like to hear a person take a song and not sound like they are
complaining….make it ur own, open up your mouth and enunciate and sing it like you have
to hold on for your life ….. not wimpy, wimpy, wimpy

  2.  People are allowed to express sadness in different ways. It works with the aesthetics of her voice. But of course, you’re allowed to think what you want. But I still think that in the same way that people are allowed to be shy, they don’t have to enact a strong form of sadness; vulnerability is a real thing, and it’s something she portrays well with her voice.
That said, I’m not a huge fan of this song. 😛 Just not my style. Though, it’s a nice listen.
