Lianne La Havas: “Elusive” & “Gone”

Stevie Wonder, Prince, Erykah Badu, Bon Iver and Jill Scott can’t all be wrong about Is Your Love Big Enough?, the debut album from Lianne La Havas. Those are just a few of the famous fans who’ve hopped on board with the English artist’s soulful blend of folk, R&B and alternative-pop sounds.

(You might recall that we were early to the game, immediately proclaiming our love for “Forget” and, months later, singing our praises for the heartbreaking ballad “Lost and Found“.)

But, hey, who cares if some of the world’s most talented musicians (and your favorite porn blogger) agree that something is absolutely fantastic? You don’t have to watch the music videos for La Havas’ songs “Elusive” and “Gone”, which act as a two-part film depicting the rise and fall of a passionate relationship. We’re not forcing you to push the play button… Even if you should.

  1. I am living for this CD. I have to say between Lianne, Emeli Sande, Dawn Richard, and Jessie Ware, 2012 was an awesome year for R&B. I hope these soul sisters continue to bring it. Ack, I almost forgot Elle Varner. She definitely should be included in the list.
