Jim Carrey Speaks On His First Gay Experience

I Love you Phillip Morris, Jim Carrey, Ewan McGregor

How did Jim Carrey react to his first gay kiss? Since his role in Ace Ventura rumors have swirled around Carrey's fruitness. In a recent interview Carrey spoke about his first gay experience and how he was initially scared to be kissing a man. Of course, we are talking about his new role in I Love You Phillip Morris, a comedy-drama about an ex-cop with two kids who has a car accident and later reveals that he's gay. Somewhere in the movie Jim Carrey's character ends up in jail and falls in love with his cellmate Phillip Morris, played by Ewan McGregor.

Here's what he has to say about his acting role in the film:

"If I were to be really honest, there was a homophobic voice that rose up inside me that said, 'Gee, this is kind of scary. First of all, what will people think, and second of all, will I like it? Will I like kissing Ewan? How will that affect me? There were a few people in my world who said, 'Are you sure you want to do this?' And that still exists. I said 'Absolutely' because, sexual preference aside, it is a story that is so compelling and interesting and different. It's about humanity. It is about you love who you love. And love is love. And that's it…."

And his opinion on the actual kiss, "Ewan was a bit prickly. I think we have some great sexual chemistry on screen. I think there is definitely a lot of smoldering, 'yum, yum, eat-him-up' vibe."

  1. umm I guess that’s a steamier kiss than what he did as a comedian? because that isn’t the first time he’s kissed someone… maybe his first mad makeout session with a dude tho.
