Superhero and super hottie Jason Momoa recently took a fishing trip in Hawaii and shared his adventure on Instagram — much to the delight of everyone, everywhere. While he successfully reeled in a fish, the catch of the day was definitely had by fans who caught a glimpse of the actor’s very thicc backside when his loincloth was blowing in the sea wind.
While the video was certainly eye-grabbing, it actually had an equally important purpose. In the caption, Momoa hyped his water bottle company, Mananalu, writing, “rainbows in my @mananalu.water sunday funday. amazing time with da ohana. big mahalo to captain hopper and J for helping us catch some aku. dried aku all week. Cheeehuuu.” Momoa also showed off his reusable water bottle to encourage people to stop using single-use vessels, a cause near and dear to his heart.
Back in September, Momoa shaved his head to raise awareness about his environmental cause, saying, “I’m here in Hawaii right now, and just seeing things in our ocean, it’s just so sad,” he shared, via E! News. “Please, anything you can do to eliminate single-use plastics in your lives. Help me, plastic bottles are ridiculous… we’re going to keep going — oh, man. Love you guys. Aloha.”
Momoa founded Mananalu as an alternative to traditional water bottles. Not only are his infinitely reusable and recyclable, but a percentage of every bottle sold is donated to “remove plastic waste from our water systems,” through a partnership with rePurpose Global, as well as working to divert over 100,000 tons of plastic waste from landfill and the ocean every year.
In other words, come for the cheeky peek at Momoa, but stay for the planet-saving mission. Talk about a superhero.
