“If You Can Shoot, You Can Shoot”

Here’s some hunky pro hockey players supporting our right to be whomever the fuck we want to be. Sweet. I’m not kidding on the “hunky.” Hockey players might wear big stupid pads but underneath them are some sweaty bodies to sin with. Sure, some of them can take out their teeth and use them as paperweights, but they won’t if you ask them not to.

On a serious note, this PSA was produced by Philadelphia Flyers scout Patrick Burke. He’s the older brother of Brendan Burke, who was the first openly gay manager of a college hockey team. Burke, who managed Miami University’s hockey team, was killed in a car accident in 2010. It’s a nice tribute.

  1. Saw the documentary on Brendan Burke….loved it, him and his family for the forward, modern thinking….we need more support in the world of sports to say even thpugh we are gay; we can play

  2. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a tragedy for people to wake up and realize what is really important.  (Switcheroo).

  3. i’ve always been impressed with the hockey world– much more open minded athletes than in the NFL, NBA, MLB.
