Well, this is exciting! I can already sense the intergenerational rift this post will cause, and I haven't even got past the second sentence. Let's just cut to the chase and get this over with… what's your opinion on men who sag their pants? Does it turn you on? Or does it just seem immature or completely nonsensical?
As someone who grew up during (arguably) the height of hip-hop and skater culture, "sagging" was simply a way of life. Anyone who wore their pants on their actual waist was a total loser, and I had enough trouble with people calling me a loser even when my pants were hanging off of my ass.
If a guy is hot, I'm not going to complain if his jeans are riding a little too low. Considering that I'd prefer them to be on the floor next to my bed, it's not really a big deal to me. Frankly, I don't understand how anyone can complain about getting a free show of some hottie's underwear. But that's just my take on this. What's yours?

I think it’s hot as hell! On the right guy. Once I was on the bus and this really hot skater dude was sagging really low, and his underwear had a big ol’ hole in it…right above his hole. I thought it was kind of funny/hot but the lady whose face was directly in front of his ass (she was sitting, he was standing) didn’t seem to think so.
Then there was the time another hot dude was sagging his pants and started walking across the street when the light changed and his pants fell all the way down to the ground. I tried my best not to laugh and brush it off as nothing, but c’mon!

the hip hop saggy look is just low class. that said, a bit just below the hips, especially with a guy in boxers where he’s just starting to show his curve is hot!

Okay I like checking out a nice ass every once in a while but there is a thing called respect for others … Sagging jeans are not hot they are disrespectful and need to be either pulled up or pulled down, not inbetween … I see it like this wear the pants or drop them in the corner of my partners place while I am there … So respect others and pull them up

LOL, I think it’s one of the stupidest looks on the face of the earth, but my boyfriend thinks it’s hot. I think I actually called him young and stupid because of that. 😛

Nope not hot. Not even a little a bit. Arguably it appears low class. Interestingly enough, a judge once said saggy pants started as a part of prison culture. No belts are allowed as well as it provides for “easy access” to submissive male prisoners or potential victims. So while it’s still popular amongst young men (for no real or good practical reason) the clock is ticking down on this particular style of fashion. THANK GOODNESS!!

First off BlackJackHammer – This isn’t about judging the people. this is just asking “Does this look hot, or not.” Read the post. And everybody who’s making character judgements on the saggy jeans, you’re being silly. I’ve met very intelligent people, who thought this looked good… don’t know why…
To be honest, I think it looks ridiculous. And I’ve told said acquaintances that I think this. I wear lose jeans, I’m one of these guys who’s jeans are hanging off the top of my ass. But I got junk in the trunk to be able to do it. 😛 I think it looks good if it’s done my way.

I had a TA in middle school… looong time ago, (she wasn’t mine, personally, just one that worked there) who used to work in a prison. She told all these guys that having your pants low just tells other men that you’re available and ready for sex. Needless to say, this craze ended fast in my school. Thank gosh. Because it carried on with us to High School. And when new people came to school and dressed like that, they would get ridiculed so bad. Haha

Just wanted to give some background on sagging of pants actually did not start as the hip hop or stakter cluture, but rather, in prison. In prison sagging was done to show disrespect to the correctional officers, as they were showing their ass. It then moved main stream as prisoners were released.
There pants don’t always stay up, nor do their untied boots ESPECIALLY when trying to run or jump over a fence!

Lol. It annoys me. Until it’s a hot guy. =) I’m 19, so I’m also sort of part of it…. my pants generally ride low, but it’s not like my ass hangs out or anything… you can usually only see just about 1cm below my waistband of my underwear.
But, anyway, a fun anectedote – once I was in the airport, this guys pants were sagging really badly. I was surprised that they were staying on, actually – the waistline of his pants were pretty much on his legs….
Anyway, the fun part of that is – he wasn’t wearing any underwear, and he seemed oblivious to the fact that his bare ass was on display for the whole airport. =)
SO not hot. Showing a *hint* of underwear can be hot, but not always. It shows a lack of respect for yourself, if not for other people who didn’t care to see your underwear. If you can’t get dressed in clothes that fit, go back to your mom and have her dress you until you get it right.

it’s fine to a point. I enjoy the glimpse of some cuties underwear too, but when it’s done just to show off the entire pair of some basketball shorts, it’s stupid. So sagging in moderation, not purposefully buying pants 5 sizes too big for me.

prisoners are not allowed to have belts so that they wont hang themselves or others. that is why the pants sag. i am sure it could be a form of mooning the guards discretely.
there are a lot of current trends in the way we speak and dress that look like poverty and ghetto. I wonder if it is an apology for being successful and educated. it is most ridiculous to see some of the white bread kids from yuppie families dressing and talking ghetto after stepping out of their beamer. it is completely incongruous.
I worked too hard to get out of the ghetto to try to look like i am still there.. however i accept people’s right to chose how silly they want to look.
I think some guys can pull it off and makes you want to bite their ass and some you would not want to touch them no matter what they wore. even the hot ones many times look like they are trying too hard.
Kids who think they look cool just look stupid. When I was in school (and i’m only 35) you got made fun of if your underwear was showing.
I’m of the opinion that the pants need to either be pulled up, or off entirely. It really isn’t attractive, and if I wanted to see someone’s ass, I’d ask them to show it to me. (YAY being straight forward).
I honestly don’t mind the view sometimes, but mostly I find it ruins the surprise. Plus, isn’t it a bit impractical? Low rise jeans are better, if you ask me. Just a tiny bit of exposure to get your cogs turning…

I think it looks dumb. I have an old uncle who has always dressed that way, except his butt crack shows. I have been waiting for the style to go away. It has been 20 years, and it has only gotten worse.

If the pants are hanging so low that the waist is below the butt or on the thighs then why bother wearing pants at all? Just take the damn pants off and go around in underwear.
I am 19 and I am not into the “sagging” trend. It doesn’t really bother me and like all trends will disappear. I wear regular rise jeans and I tuck my shirt into my underpants (always white)and I usually have 2 or 3 inches of underpants showing all the time at the top of my pants.I think this is classic and will never go out of style.
I have never intentionally sagged, but I am skinny and find that belts are either no use or too uncomfortable,and braces are out of fashion, so as I tuck my shirt inside my underpants (to make regular adjustments easier) my drawers can occasionally be seen, but none of my GFs have ever complained, and most of my mates dress the same way. I do not feel that, if just the logo~e dwaistband can be seen, this is either sagging or indecent. I just find it comfortable and would be interested in other guys comments.
