Hot or Not: Cuddling

After a hot session of man-on-man action, do you like to nuzzle up against your partner and cuddle for a while? This question comes to mind after this week’s Random Question, in which we asked each of you to rank your favorite sexual activities. One of you pointed out the glaring absence of “cuddling” on my list…

In the aftermath of yesterday’s hopeless romantic post, I’d like to clarify my love for cute shit. As a matter of fact, cuddling ranks right under making out as one of my top three sexual activities. In other words? I’m a motherfuckin’ snuggle slut. Hide your boyfriends, hide your husbands! Because I’m cuddling everybody out here.

Of course, I realize everyone doesn’t share my enthusiasm on this matter. Some folks radiate ridiculous amounts of heat, and they’re not exactly running to press themselves against another human body. Others think the act is a little too intimate or emotional. All in all, what’s your verdict? Is cuddling hot or not?

  1. Obviously there are exceptions (some people just aren’t cuddly or don’t like it,) but if you’re actually into each other, dating/married or not, the stuff before and after sex is at least as enjoyable as actually gettin’ to it.

  3. I think it’s hot- with a partner/husband/boyfriend. With a hookup, it’s a little too familiar and intimate to do with someone you don’t really know.

  4. I am a cuddler. Too intimate. My gosh what is the rest of the sexual experience. Unless of course you are being ganged and then cuddling is not usually an option. Although my buddy likes to watch me get pounded by a few guys and then he wants to cuddle with me and play inside me. So I guess cuddling can happen any time.

If a guy cannot kiss and won’t cuddle, I have no interest in anything else with him…and a guy who knows how to spoon all night is a bonus…love slowly awakening each other in the morning with some cuddling/touching…can stay in bed for hours doing that…woof…

I love cuddling, tho not as much as i love getting rimmed or fucked, but it is very nice to feel that type of intamacy after a dude has royally fucked you. I’ve found some guys are into and some aren’t depending on where and what they have to do after they’ve fucked you.   29. I like cuddling, but have to admit that I can’t do it for extended periods of time. The body heat of the other guy can get to me. What I find really sexy and/or romantic is being naked and facing the guy after sex and touching each other’s skin. That way I can start kissing him while I am talking to him. I guess too much information away.

    I rank cuddling right up there with kissing. Very intimate acts. I do find it funny that guys will have sex with another guy but won’t cuddle because it’s too intimate. Since when is sex not an intimate act?

The idea that so many of the comments were all for cuddling, and some were for it more than actual sex acts, is fabulous, although I agree that it isn’t something one usually does after a “quickie” (I used to know what that was). I would cuddle with most of you without even seeing your pics!

  49. @Todd: Sex stopped being an exclusively (or even marginally) intimate act shortly after guys put up profiles looking for it “right now.” Real intimacy is tough to obtain when you’ve already skipped through the better part of the events that build it. But hey, we’ve got sex on tap these days, a short conversation and (maybe) an exchange of real names away.

    That said, I love to cuddle – it’s a shame that nine-tenths of my friends are straight. There are days when all I want to do is share some casual physical contact with another person who isn’t sick, smelly, or demented.

    I can’t say I’m into cuddling during sleep, though. Aside from throwing off a lot of heat, I’m an “active” (read: disordered) sleeper. I try to keep my space my own, and it tends to limit the amount of knees, elbows, and head-butts that my partners receive while I’m off in Dreamland. Any time other than that, though, I’m quite happy to be snuggled up with just about anyone.

  60. Cuddling rocks! Most guys seem to get a “guilt surge” after orgasm and so they need to beat a hasty retreat from the scene of the crime…or fall asleep. Allowing your body to rest while nuzzeled up close to someone that you just shared a beautiful experience with can be very powerful.   64. I am a huge cuddle-freak! My friends actually joke around that I’m a “sleep-spooner”. Often when some of us crash at a friend’s for the night my straight friends will find themselves trapped as my little spoon. I’m always amused when they tell me in the morning 😛

    And I, too, am a very hot person. I run about 99-100 normally, but I’ve never had anyone complain about it. If anything it gives them more of a reason to cuddle. But I guess being from Oregon — It’s cold enough for that!

  65. After reading all the responses, it gives me a warm feeling that guys are more interested in being held (cuddling), than getting their rocks off!! As for me, the one thing I miss the most from my first ex, is the closeness/cuddling I had when he held me at night. I would almost trade the sex part, if I could have the right man hold me on a cold night. 🙂
