Hot Flash: Simon Le

Simon Le photography

When it comes to photographing hot male models, Simon Le is kind of a big deal. His pictures have been featured about a zillion times in DNA Magazine, among other places. It's relatively easy to see why he's so popular. Just look at his portfolio! If none of these shots get you pre-cumming, you might want to send your dick in for it's regular check-up (in my mouth).

Just kidding! To each his own and all that crap. But while we're still talking about Le, can I call your attention to a common trend in his work? For reasons unbeknownst to me, this guy consistently manages to convince his models to pull their underwear down. It's a pretty amazing talent, and if you don't believe me… click through and check out some examples!

  1. I dont know, models aside, if these pictures are representative of his work from a purely aesthetic point of view I find many elements of his pictures distracting. The lighting is awkward at best, the composition is terrible, the coloring is flat. And then technically he is also lacking, there is nothing to suggest diverse lens selection, aperture settings all appear to (with two exceptions) to be on the “automatic” selection, and the finish is terrible.
Errr.. SO. Now that I came across as a pompous bitch, i guess to sum it up. These photographs are very amateur, and not in an artistically avant-garde way.

  2. robert- brilliant observations, about the photography. did you by chance, since this is a Manhunt blog, think that perhaps the models might be the focus?

  3. the guys seem kinda 2D. they’re almost all white with hairless six pack and short light coloured hair and in their underwear. not too original. hot though.

  4. haha… for sure fair enough. The post however is crediting his work as a photographer so the comment was just to say I didnt think it was that great……But hey just because the exposure sucks, doesn’t mean that the “exposure” wasn’t hot.

  5. @ Dewitt, WOW! These aussie men are really hot! Thanks for posting these images.
@ Robert, according to the images from the photographer’s website, all I can say is his work is very professional and he is not merely an amateur as you quoted. Interestingly, if you type his name in the search pages just to name a few as Google or Bing; his name came right up on top of the search result, that makes him famous regardless.
Further more, I also found that Simon Le is a published photographer whose work has been featured on DNA & AXN magazines in Australia.
Now, let’s discussing about your comments; …”if these pictures are representative of his work from a purely aesthetic point of view I find many elements of his pictures distracting. The lighting is awkward at best, the composition is terrible, the coloring is flat. And then technically he is also lacking, there is nothing to suggest diverse lens selection, aperture settings all appear to (with two exceptions) to be on the “automatic” selection, and the finish is terrible…”
Based on the information, sounds like you know very well about photography. If you are a professional photographer then please prove us wrong that you can take better images than Simon. If you are indeed a professional photographer who has the knowledge & ability to judge Simon’s work, then you just proved to us that you are just jealous person whose work has never been recognized or published anywhere.
Come on Robert, let’s just give the man the credit for taking his time & effort to take those photos to share with us to enjoy! I have seen some worse photos on the net than that but we all appreciated whoever took it.
If you are not a professional photographer or just an amateur like Simon, please… you ain’t nothing but a pompous old bitch! In this gay world, we don’t need people like you who does not know how to appreciate things in life, especially when it comes to free images of the hot men to perve 
PS. Oh, did I forget to mention that I don’t have the knowledge about the “exposure or aperture” like yourself, but at least I know how to appreciate others hard work.

  6. Geez, overboard a little?
I am an amateur photographer. My statement purely reflects the selection shown to us (as stated). “if THESE pictures are representative of his work…..blah blah” He has WAY better photos on his website.
My point is that if Dewitt wants to celebrate a photographer “who is kind of a big thing” the pictures shown are pretty terrible “picture wise”. Although I think most of the pictures were shown because of the pulled down underwear. This photographer has way better examples of why he’s “kind of a big thing”
You don’t see me commenting on the porn posts saying “blah blah terrible composition” because its porn, and it’s hot and it serves it’s purpose.
And lastly, with regards to my ability to appreciate the value of hard work how does critique show lack of appreciation? There are some pretty awesome photographs out there from some pretty awesome photographers posted on this blog. And I enjoy to look at them. I also enjoy other aspects of life inclusive of (and I use that word again) the “aesthetic” nature of everything.
You wont see me claiming ewww gym rat this, twink that, nasty bear blah blah blah. Because people are people. The artistic merit of a photograph is another thing.
SO. slow clap to you for making assumptions which you cannot back up (about my integrity). Slow clap to you for unhelpful accusations as opposed to creating meaningful dialogue, and slow clap to you for coming across as an arrogant prick.
p.s. “we don’t need people like you who does not know how to appreciate things in life, especially when it comes to free images of the hot men” yup because appreciating pictures is the greatest indicator of a persons worth, or value to society.

  7. @ Robert, well you started first & you should get all the attention & credit for being a “pompous bitch” as you claimed you are! I might be arrogant to you but at least I have a prick! Nuff said! 🙂

  8. LOL @ Robert. Are you for real? Being as an amateur pls do not criticise others work who is more pro than you buddy! Looks like you have an issue by the sounds of your posts. Take it easy and take a hike my friend,,,

  9. Robert, sorry that your audacity to have an opinion was attacked so. I appreciated what you were saying in your initial post, and agree, in THESE pics, there was something lacking. Photography, art, sculpture is all about viewpoint, and we all won’t agree….heck some guys on here are adamant about the ‘chest hair/no chest hair’ argument….its all good.

  10. Only the one guy of color is truly hot. The other ones all have excellent bodies but their faces are either blah or bleh! And the same pose everytime! The last guy is hott too. and the one who looks like Jason Dohring. But he’s plain faced too.
