Hot Flash: Jesse Burke In Headmaster no. 2

A copy of Headmaster no. 2 has been sitting on my desk for the past week. The first issue of the queer print publication for “manly man-loving men” has become a security blanket of sorts. When I’m feeling down at Manhunt headquarters, I’ll open the book up to Tanner Veatch‘s drawings or that awesome photo Jamil Hellu did of a guy shoving a cinnamon container up his butt. ::sigh:: It doesn’t get much better than that.

Upon initially diving into the latest release, I was drawn immediately to photographer Jesse Burke‘s spread in the magazine. His assignment from the all-knowing headmaster was to “Kindly photograph the star of the school rugby team in the uniform introduced earlier this season”.

The uniform they’re referring to was designed and hand-knit by Joseph Segal, accompanied by rugby gloves from House of Cach. As for the model? We don’t actually know his name, but we have inside information that he met one of the editors through Manhunt. It’s a small world on the gay internet. Not to mention, a very hot world… Because, as you know, I’m a big fan of rugby gear and beefy hirsute gentlemen. Everyone involved in this assignment gets a double A+!

  1. I actually met the editor after following his blog first and then seeing his picture on Manhunt and saying hi.    He asked me to do the shoot off of Facebook.    Cold and wet, and not really homoless, but just a bit “deconstructed.”   It was fun.   Glad you liked it, Dewitt!
