Hear Britney Spears Doing Gaga’s “Telephone”

Britney Spears, Telephone, demo, Lady Gaga, listen, leak, rejected, Rodney Jerkins, stream, music, gay, Beyonce, pop songs

Over the weekend, the alleged Britney Spears demo of "Telephone" leaked all over the internet, making a big gay mess of excitement and disappointment over the song that never was. If you haven't heard it by now, you are probably a disgrace to gay culture. Just kidding! It's actually not that great, and there's a high chance that it's totally fake.

For those who don't know, Lady Gaga originally wrote the song for Britney along with producer Rodney Jerkins, but the "Toxic" singer's camp wound up rejecting it. And judging by this supposed demo, we're kind of glad they made that decision…

  1. Auto Tune sucks period. but its use in this song is worse. this seems very fake to me.
and if its not. i am DAMN glad Britney’s camp rejected it.

  2. No, but of course this type of thing happens all the time. Singers pass on songs that later become huge hits for someone else.

  3. This is horrible. It’s barely her singing. Ugh!!! I pray no one plays this in the clubs!

  4. This isn’t even real. Some idiot over at ileaks.com leaked a clip yesterday of this and said they would leak whole thing if someoe paid 750 dollars. Someone did but today Britney camp said they aren’t worried because it isn’t real.

  5. this isn’t Brit, not sure who it is, but I would expect if it were a legit demo the backing music and backing vocals wouldn’t sound EXACTLY like Lady Gaga’s version

  6. i can only take 3 seconds of that! Thank you Britney Spears camp for rejecting that and giving this song a chance to be a huge hit!!!

  7. first off: not britney
    second: it’s not a demo
demo is supposed to be a demo and not a polished exactly the same version as the original.
demos get worked up by so many people until they take their final sound.
    just a bad try.

  8. well, i mean..
..what i mean to say is, i don’t like untrue, negative things to be attributed to her.
or to anyone, no matter how shitty that person might already naturally be.
it’s more of a self-preservation thing, though: i wouldn’t want anyone accusing me of unflattering things i haven’t done.
so, in the interest of fairness, i couldn’t condone its happening to others.
(incidentally, i still happen to like Old Brit.
    at least a little.
i just regret that some things happened in her life, that made her go down the path sh eventually had.)
