Harry Styles Drags Conservative Trolls Who Hated His Vogue Cover

In case you missed it, singer-songwriter Harry Styles made history last month as the first solo male celebrity to grace the cover of Vogue Magazine while wearing an internet-breaking Gucci gown.

Though not without its rightful criticisms, particularly when it comes to discussions about who gets elevated and celebrated for breaking down gender norms, the move was celebrated by many as an important moment in the fashion world, especially since it’s still a big deal to see a star as big as Harry get a platform to break some of society’s expectation of what men should be doing.

Unfortunately (because we can’t have nice things), the now-iconic Vogue cover was also met with a lot of flat-out hate from conservative pundits who, in 2020, still frequently reference toxic, outdated gender roles.

“There is no society that can survive without strong men,” political commentator Candace Owens tweeted when Harry’s December 2020 Vogue cover was first revealed back in November. “The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men.”

But Harry isn’t taking much of the hate seriously. In fact, as proven by a recent Instagram post, he’s being really cheeky and funny about all of it!

“Bring back manly men” Harry simply wrote simply in a caption of a stunning portrait where he’s donning a baby blue suit and eating a banana, using the same words so many haters have been using against him in the most perfect (and shady) way possible — and looking good while doing it!

Just another reason to love Harry!
