Geek Out: Can Fringe Pull Off A Musical Episode?

Fringe, musical episode, film noir, trailer, watch, TV, television, science fiction, geeky, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, episode, Joss Whedon, Joshua Jackson

This morning, I rolled out of bed singing "Going Through The Motions" from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer musical "Once More, With Feeling". I was a late bloomer when it came to the Joss Whedon bandwagon, and I sunk my teeth into the series with more fury than evil Willow after seeing that episode. And to make a long story short, I've spent a good portion of this day listening to songs about dancing demons and walking through fire.

In an extremely odd coincidence, I read on my way to work that Fringe would be airing their own musical episode tonight. I've only seen bits and pieces of the show, but I'm extremely inclined to check this out. This has nothing to do with the crush I've had on Joshua Jackson ever since he played Pacey on Dawson's Creek. Nothing at all, I swear!

  1. I thought i was the only person who had the Buffy the musical soundtrack, now i don’t feel like such a dork.I’m excited see what they do,this is second time they’ve jumped into a different era. They did a 80’s episode a few weeks back it was awesome,i hope it’s as good as that one.I already have my DVR set.

  2. Lol. I have it too. And I’ve been listening to it more often since I finally saw Dr. Horrible’s sing along blog and could totally tell it was Whedon’s cuz the music was similar to the Buffy episode.

  3. It was a okay episode,it didn’t really help the story along like the last one did. They didn’t sing that much. And it wasn’t completely retro, they still had cell phones and computers.Jaskia and Lance are good singers especially lance. The only songs i knew were I Hope I Get It from A Chorus Line, and the Candy man song. And Olivia sung a song that sounded familiar too, anyone know it?
