Geek Out: A Different Kind of Role-Playing

You're familiar with the concept of role-playing in the bedroom, but it's nowhere near as hilarious as live-action role-playing. Affectionately known as "LARPing", this activity involves grown men and women running around with foam swords and hitting one another. If you think Dungeons and Dragons is the most geeky game out there, then you've never met a LARPer.

Given the amount of people who were depressed that Pandora doesn't actually exist, it's surprising that there aren't more groups recreating James Cameron's fictional world. Or maybe there are?

A group of folks from Wisconsin have come together for a mockumentary on "Live Avatar Role-Playing" To say that it's one of the best Avatar parodies I've seen yet would probably be an understatement. Kudos to Fanboys of The Universe for bringing this into our lives!

  1. haha! half those people were obviously not even from wisconsin in the first place, but its good to know that the people here still feel free to say whatever they want without having to offend people. I love wisconsin 😀

  2. Oh my f-ing god… that is HILARIOUS! I hope to god their not hippies, because that … um… creation of the tree of souls looks like a MESS! PS that movie is awesome!!

  3. LARPing can actually be alot of fun with the right group of people and can also be really good work out too.
