ITEM – Just like the rest of us! Kris Allen won American Idol a couple of seasons back, mainly because the only people who vote on this shit are tween girls (and the occasional gay). Has there been a recent winner that wasn’t a cute guy? Nope. Anyway, TMZ caught up with his hot ass at the airport and Allen admitted he didn’t watch Phillip Phillips win the other night. He also suggested that it was time to pull the plug. ABSOLUTELY. Besides, X Factor might be the show to watch now. They have Britney. That bitch is crazy. It could be awesome. Even Paula Abdul is happy she got fired if Britney is bringing the crazy to the show.

ITEM – In horrifying travesty news, Lindsay Lohan is filming an Elizabeth Taylor biopic for Lifetime. That’s just every shade of awful. The only redeemable thing about this impending shitshow is that actor Grant Bowler has been cast as Taylor’s long-time paramour – Richard Burton. Bowler has appeared on Ugly Betty and True Blood and has a middle-aged hotness thing going on. He obviously owes loansharks some money or needs to buy a kidney because why would you subject yourself to working with that delusional crackhead?

ITEM – The Great Gatsby trailer! Leonardo Dicaprio and Tobey Maguire play the classic characters of Gatsby and Nick Carraway. Neither of them do it for me, but the movie looks hot and perhaps one of you is into them.
Hello! Grant Bowler is getting paid and he’s getting more publicity than he ever has in his career for playing opposite “that delusional crackhead.” The whole world will be watching and his star will be launched, even if (when) the movie sucks.

It would seem most Americans are no longer interested in Chris Allen either. Five Idol alums have new albums that today on iTunes are outselling him. They are Phillip Phillips, Carrie Underwood, Jessica Sanchez, Adam Lambert, even last years third place Haley Reinhart is a notch higher than Allen!
I’d say it’s all about marketing. If the record company is not going to spend money to promote you, no matter how good you are, your 15 minutes of fame aren’t going to last very long. The real question is how much longer American Idol will be relative, with all the other shows (X Factor, The Voice, Duets, etc.) lining up to compete.

Scotty McCreery was the prior Idol winner + he is not cute. He looks like Alfred E. Neuman. Lee DeWyze was average-looking.
