Frank Ocean: “Sweet Life”

I was disappointed by the amount of people who said “Who?” when Frank Ocean revealed his past relationship with a man. The dude’s written songs for Beyoncé and Justin Bieber, made two appearances on the biggest hip-hop album of the year and released one of the best mixtapes of 2011…

“But, Dewitt, I’m not into hip-hop and R&B,” you say. “Why would I care about this?”

Because you’re a fucking human being. That’s why! Frank Ocean is beyond hip-hop and R&B. He’s one of the most talented and exciting songwriters to emerge in years, and his voice is like sweet honey dripping down your butt crack and then getting lapped up by Damien Stone‘s tongue (or at least what I imagine that would feel like).

Take a listen to his latest song “Sweet Life” above, and you’ll see what I mean. And if you want extra credit, be sure to check out his epic 10-minute album track “Pyramids”.
