Fiona Apple: “Every Single Night”

Elvis could have risen from the grave and recorded a comeback track with a non-hologram version of Tupac Shakur, and I still would have chosen Fiona Apple as this morning’s musical selection. After a string of (what I’ve heard to be) utterly fantastic live performances, anticipation is high for the singer-songwriter’s fourth studio album The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver of The Screw And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do. <– If you think this title is weird and long, let’s not forget what she did back in 1999.

“Every Single Night” might take a few listens to grow on you, but once you’re hooked, you’ll be hooked for good (and frantically searching the internet for Fiona Apple tickets at a nearby venue).

  1. Manhunt is the last place I’d expect to see Fiona Apple show up (as much of a gay fan boy as I am). Anyway, love this song. Saw her at Royale last month (right in front of the stage), and she was amazing. Have been into music since her first album (when I was 12)—even had one of her lyrics tattooed—and I’m just excited for this album as any other.

  2. Wow – just getting around to playing it – this feed has been starred in my inbox for a few days now…. I’m loving it as its playing. Thanks for posting this dewitt… I’m happy to see that Fiona is back at it again.
