Ed Sheeran ‘thought he was gay’ growing up

Ed Sheeran has revealed he had doubts about his sexuality when he was growing up.
The ‘Shivers’ singer, who is married to Cherry Seaborn, with whom he has a one-year-old daughter, made the admission on Dutch podcast Man, Man, Man. Speaking in an interview last month, the star also explained that he has a “big feminine side” and loves musical theatre.

“I’m not a hugely masculine person. I have a definite feminine side, to the point that when I was a kid I thought I was gay for a bit,” the 30-year-old explained.

“I definitely have a big feminine side. I love musical theatre, I love pop music, I love Britney Spears.”

Sheeran – whose new album = is out now – added: “My masculine side probably stops at drinking beer and watching football.” The star furthermore added: “I am not a car guy. I like a nice car, but I’m not a car guy.”

Sheeran, also known for tracks like ‘South of the Border’ and ‘Beautiful People’, then said: “My wife is super pro-women, femininity. So as soon as we started dating, my life shifted.”
