I’ll admit it. It’s hot to watch mature supermodels act out and party like the Fashion Cafe was still open and MTV’s House of Style was still the shit. Duran Duran have a new song (which very easily could be an old song – not that it’s a bad thing) called “Girl Panic!” and they spruced it up by featuring the couture carriers of days past in their video.
In fact, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen and Eva Herzigova PLAY the band in this visually sumptuous Jonas Akerlund-directed clip. George Michael’s “Freedom 90” is still one of the best music videos of all time, so this little tip of the hat to it is fun.

The Girl Panic! Video didn’t do anything for me – I was under a rock when DuranDuran was popular. But I thoroughly enjoyed the GM video.

Maybe I’m just nostalgic, but I still think the older supermodels are hotter than any of the “newer” models these days.
