Did American Idol Dismiss Alexis Grace to Prove It’s Not Fixed?

American Idol Alexis Grace
After news broke out that the American Idol final four would include Alexis Grace, Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds and Adam Lambert, isn’t it a bit fishy that Alexis was brutally “voted off” last night?
I’ve heard plenty of gay dudes turn out better versions of Dolly Parton‘s “Jolene” at karaoke bars, but her performance was far from the worst of the bunch! For one of many examples, see Adam Lambert‘s weird-ass rendition of Johnny Cash‘s “Ring of Fire.”

  1. Or could it just be that America has no taste, as has been repeatedly proven when talented singers whom the judges like get the ax?

  2. I’m amazed that everyone’s been so down on that version of “Ring of Fire”…I thought it was completely out of left field, sure, but it was totally kick ass, too! Something different from American Idol…imagine that!

  3. I thought both Michael Sarver and the blind guy gave worse performances, but I think the problem with Alexis was she wasn’t bad as much as she was completely forgettable. Seriously, when Ryan was going down the bottom row of people, I completely forgot her. I knew there was another female singer, but I couldn’t remember who it was.
I’m sure Alexis is a wonderful person, but her Jolene had no passion, no desperation (at least until the second night), no reason to be invested whatsoever in the song.

  4. Who fucking cares…she sucked. Vote for Adam! He is family ya’ll! Support your fellow gay fellow! I wouldnt hit it but it doesnt mean he still can’t win the Idol!
