The VMAs was a sad night last night for all of the Christina Aguilera fans. She did something she spoke so candidly against back in 2003 Blender’s Magazine interview and that was lip-sync.
“The VMAs were so . . . so vanilla,” she says. “So safe, so predictable, no edge. Apart from Madonna, Mary J. Blige and myself, I cannot think of another female performer who had her mic switched on. That is very disappointing to me. I agreed to do it in the first place only because Madonna had told me that it was mandatory to sing live.”
Christina did exactly that, didn’t turn her mic on! Shame on her!
Her new song, Keeps Gettin’ Better, sounds very generic; I can hear Britney Spears, Rihanna or the Pussycat Dolls singing the tune. Where’s the voice? However, it’s a hot song regardless and will probably do well on the charts.
