CATCALL: “The World Is Ours”

CATCALL‘s “The World Is Ours” is the song that Madonna‘s “Give Me All Your Luvin” should have been. That’s less of an insult to the Queen of Pop and more of a compliment to Sydney-based artist Catherine Kelleher. Equipped with a bouncy beat and a cheerleader-eque chant, she churns out a track that’s soaked in pure summer goodness. It’s like Marina and the Diamonds meets Empire of The Sun, with a dash of Toni Basil‘s “Mickey”.

We’re not sure how we missed this track or the release of CATCALL’s debut album The Warmest Place earlier last month. Were we too busy masturbating to pictures of Seth Fornea? Probably! Nevertheless, this seems like a solid release.

  1. You have to remember, Madonna’s and her music are not meant to appeal to the indy crowd. It is pure pop, but always with a twist.
