Brent Corrigan Won’t Let His Naughtiness Define Him: “Will I ever make porn again? It’s conceivable.”

“While I love getting naughty with the best of ‘em, it was never meant to define me as an individual.”

That’s the big revelation in Brent Corrigan‘s most recent blog post, which includes a detailed account of his time on the 2011 Manhunt X Tour. Apparently, some fans haven’t been able to accept that he can perform simultaneously as “Sean Paul Lockhart” (the mainstream actor) andBrent Corrigan” (the well-known gay porn star). Prior to the above statement, he writes:

“I suppose the best way to put it is transitional… Do I consider myself still a porn star? Yes. Am I still making porn? Not at the moment. Will I ever make porn again? It’s conceivable. Will I ever perform as an adult model again? Right now I’d prefer to say no. But a boy’s got a right to change his mind now, doesn’t he?!… On one hand I’m bursting at the seams to let the dirty boy out and let him play with all the big dicks he can – on the other, adult Sean yearns for a different kind of career, a different kind of image and certainly a different kind of stimulation.

This “transitional” period is certainly a confusing time for all of us, no? As much as we want to see “Sean” excel in his career and have a life beyond gay porn, there’s no denying that we’d like to see “Brent” letting his dirty boy out and playing with all the big dicks he can. Preferably, playing with all those big dicks at the same time… Because, seriously, gangbangs are hot.

Of course, when it all comes down to it, we have to wish Brent/Sean luck in whatever direction life takes him. He’s facing a variety of obstacles in both of his separate careers. The adult industry folks treat him like the black sheep of the family, while he’s still being viewed as a “former gay porn star” by mainstream film producers. I mean, can you really help rooting for him to excel in either direction?

  1. Mainstream Hollywood is about marketing and talent. You have to have one or another to succeed and both to be legendary. The problem is porn. Porn will hinder him big time. I really don’t see much difference between him and Zac Effron but, since Brent did porn, studios can’t market him to kids and since it was gay porn there goes his female audience all together. Unless he lands an award winning role in an indie film or a hit T.V. show (Not reality T.V.), which he’ll probably have to finance himself, I don’t think mainstream is looking too good for Sean. Kudos for trying tho. Hope for the best.

Stick to Porn. Gays will love ya til a shiny new Twink Boy Toy replaces you. I think packing on some muscle will help him transcend his bottom boy twink roles to full on muscle jock roles. Can’t be twinky forever.

  2. In a way, you’re right Frat, he is unlikely to be a Zac Effron type of mainstream. However, there are different kinds of success. Porn can be a complication, but it is becoming ever more mainstream. Female porn stars, and models are paving a way in that. I also agree, if he’s going to earn any type of renown in a mainstream way, he’d need to be amazing in an independent film by an incredible director. It wouldn’t have to be a wildly successful film if it garnered enough critical acclaim.

I have to say though, as a struggling actor, the odds in general are stacked against you, and I dunno, Porn is a complication, but it has potential benefits possibly more so than just being Joe nobody from Kansas.
