“Cousin” is a new Brazilian gay movie expected to debut this year. The film deals with the unexpected sexual attraction between two cousins who have just met, Lucas (Paulo Souza) who lives in a small country town with his religious aunt Lourdes (Juliana Zancanaro) and Mario (Thiago Cazado) who has just joined to the family, after getting out of jail. The two actors are also the movie directors of the film.
“We wanted to make a fun story on the subject, the conflict of homosexuality within the family and religion. We believe the audience will have fun. It’s an easy movie to identify” said Thiago Cazado.
“Cuisin” is their second feature film and the duo is known for addressing LGBTQI + issues in their work.
