“Boy meets Boy” receives first trailer ahead of premiere at BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival

A new trailer has dropped for LGBTQ drama Boys Meets Boy ahead of the film’s world premiere at BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival next month.

The 75-minute, described by creators as a “feature-length mumblecore”, depicts the one-day love affair of two guys after they meet on a night out in Berlin.

Directed by Daniel Sánchez López, and stars Alexandros Koutsoulis and Matthew James Morrison.

An official synopsis of Boy Meets Boy reads: “Harry has been partying for 48 hours when he meets Johannes on the dance floor of a club in Berlin. With 15 hours until his flight home, Johannes offers to help him print his boarding pass. This mundane task leads to a day together wandering the city.

“The contrasts in their lives and values force each one to confront their own truths. Boys Meet Boys is a feature length mumblecore about the journey of a brief encounter: the mark left by a fleeting moment of joy.”

López also serves as writer on the project, alongside Hannah Renton.

BFI Flare will be available digitally to a UK-wide audience from 17-28 March 2021 via BFI Player. Tickets will be available to BFI Members from Friday 26 February and to the general public from Tuesday 2 March.
