Aural Only: Scissor Sisters

This is a picture of Ben Cohen posing with the Scissor Sisters. While it may have provoked fantasies of getting tag-teamed by the straight rugby player and band member Babydaddy, I have other reasons for posting it. Such as, our decision to bring “Invisible Light” back to the Weekly Top Ten.

The song was offered up as a first taste of the group’s excellent album Night Work, and now it’s finally being released as an official single. Plus, the music video is the most disturbing thing we’ve seen all year. And that includes the cum geyser. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

  1. I really don’t know why they have to ruin a good song with such a fucked up clip. If you also want to watch a disturbing music video, check “Hurricane” by 30 Seconds to Mars. It’s a 13 minute clip and was also banned by MTV last month. Now they are gonna call of this ART.

  2. I absolutely loved that, actually. Have really gone off the band in the recent years but this kinda reinvigorates them for me. Something interesting for a change.

  3. Forget Babydaddy. I’ve been wanting to get banged by Jake Shears for years……even though he looks creepily like my cousin.

  4. I love the video and I think its art… not only by definition (something useless create only to allure senses) but because of the message… the women in the video have this nightmares how are actually memories of that and at the same time in some way what it’s happening to her child… his husband/father its representing by the wolf how she its defending his daughter and herself off… or at least that’s my interpretation…

  5. And the same for the rest of the video… it’s like if she was in a trance and this kind of psychotherapist bring her back whit his voice (very sexy voice from Sir Ian Mckellen by the way)… So at the end of the video she wakes up….
