Aural Only: Neon Hitch

You may have heard the name “Neon Hitch” thrown around on the internet. And you’ll be hearing it a lot more pretty soon, provided her latest single “Get Over U” gets the attention it deserves. The track was co-written with Sia Furler, the Australian singer-songwriter behind Christina Aguilera‘s “You Lost Me” and “Bound To You”. The beat was provided by Benny Blanco, a man who’s partially responsible for every annoyingly catchy song in the past couple of years.

The end result is somewhere between Robyn and Kylie Minogue, a dance jam with heartbreak written all over it. The vocals aren’t anything to write home about, but they’re appropriately fragile for the song’s raw and emotional lyrical content. If every gay club in the country doesn’t start spinning this, it’ll be an absolute sin.

  1. this doesn’t sound like it’s between kylie and robyn. it sounds like kylie singing a song robyn wrote. i can’t say that this has a distinct, new sound to it, but i definitely like it.

  3. @ The R, You say that it doesn’t sound like it’s between Kylie & Robyn but wouldn’t a song written by Robyn and sung by Kylie between the two? It would have Robyn’s style and Kylie’s Voice. Just asking 🙂
