Ace of Base is back, bitches! Well, sort of. The group’s original lead vocalists, Linn and Jenny Berggren, have been replaced by Clara Hagman and Julia Williamson. Apparently, one of these chicks appeared on the Swedish version of American Idol, but those details will probably mean nothing to you.
Last month, the newly-assembled foursome dropped their first single together, and it’s been receiving a whole lot of requests on our Weekly Top Ten. Why? It’s impossible to say… But you can expect to see this on next Saturday’s countdown!

I am a total fanboy of Ace of Base… the new vocals are obvious but the sound is still there :-D… Who listens to music for the words/vocals anyways. I am glad they are back and this is awesome even as is… Can’t see how some DJ’s Butcher/Honor this in their mixes.!!!!

I love the sound, but I miss Jenny and Linn. They weren’t about being super-sexy and walking around in their underwear and tossing their hair. They were about singing the song. So, while the new girls have good vocals, I have to wonder about why they felt the need to get skanky, for lack of a better word.
It isn’t as good as the original Ace of Base(Who I’ve loved since I was a little kid. lol.)but it’s still pretty decent as far as dance music goes. The sound is a lot more sophisticated than say, Kylie Minogue…
this is dreadful! this is worse than if Destiny’s Child replaced 2 of their original group members with 2 new singers and act as if they were the same group with the same sound. OH WAIT…that actually happened too lol. Unfortunately, this does not sound like Ace of Base at all, musically is gorgeous but to use the name of band that has a specific sound like Jenny and Linn’s is unfair to the women who helped put the band on the map originally. Poor Ace of Base, this was a bad move.

oh lord! roxette reunion will be next – a reason, if there ever was one, to commit suicide.
Roxette are actually reuniting. They have a sold out Euro Tour and are releasing a new album in 2011.
I am glad bands like ace of base, aqua, roxette, etc are reuniting. At least its fun music that we can sing along to.

Man, Jonas Berggren didn’t age well, did he? It’s a nice track. But I keep thinking maybe they should cover Alejandro. That track sounds much more Ace of Base than this one. 🙂
Glad to hear Roxette is coming back! Marie Fredriksson has one of the most beautiful, expressive voices I’ve ever heard.
Topher, I agree with you, they should have come up with a different name. Ace of Base should only have ever been Jenny, Linn, Jonas and Ulf.
I really liked the song, I’ll be sure to keep lookin out for them.
