I agree he doesnt seem secure or happy from watching him a few seasons ago on DWTS. We was like trying way too hard, which was unfortunate as he definitely had talent, but over performed to his detriment. He took criticism poorly, evening crying once – over a stupid celebrity dancing show!
Not sure why he would choose to showcase pics of himself like this, as he is otherwise a good looking guy.

His abs are not symmetrical at all, which adds to the creepiness of an already creepy photo. He obviously did something wrong to his abs. Too much meth while working out perhaps?? 😛
And he does look old in the top pic, but that could just be the harsh light/shadow. His face in the #2 pic looks more normal.
