Vote For The Weekly Top Ten Wild Card

Wildcard-32

We have nine songs ready to make a splash on this Saturday’s Weekly Top Ten countdown, and we need your help in choosing the tenth and final song! Between these four artists who are bubbling under the radar, which one deserves a place on the charts?

Today’s Wild Card round features new tunes by Wonder Girls, Showgirls, LIGHTS and Leela James. It’s one of those rare instances when even I don’t know who I’ll be voting for, so good luck choosing today’s winner! And if you don’t like any of these selections, be sure to leave a comment with suggestions for next week.

Wonder Girls – 2 Different Tears: Was there some memo sent out that music videos should actually be entertaining again? Because if so, this South Korean girl group definitely received it. Their clip for “2 Different Tears” is more fun than anything else you could possibly do today. With the exception of maybe butt sex.

Showgirls – Foolin’ Around: No, this isn’t an homage to the 1995 Elizabeth Berkley film (or at least we don’t think it is). It’s a French group that’s doing their best to bring disco back. Strap on your skates, boys! It’s time to head out to the roller rink. Who’s going to hold my hand for the couples’ skate?

LIGHTS – Second Go: It’s like a lost tape from Madonna’s early years! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to throw on some leg warmers and dork out all over the place. How have we never featured this girl before? While this tune may not make it onto this weekend’s charts, it’s definitely a winner in our books!

Leela James – Tell Me You Love Me: Leela James is one of the most underrated soul artists on the scene, and she definitely deserves more attention from the R&B crowd. Her latest single “Tell Me You Love Me” channels legends such as Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin. And in case you haven’t noticed, it’s pretty fucking awesome.

  1. voting Leela, she’s been in the music game for awhile and deserves more shine. I like the different looks and hairstyles in the video as well.

I could see why someone would like te wonder girls video/song; it’s fun, it has bobby lee from madtv in it. while the girls aren’t the best singers the dancing is cute and the costume changes are fun.

Might need to hear some more music from “lights” before i can make a definate decision. the beat was good, but wasn’t really into the concept of the video…

  2. LIGHTS! She’s amazing and you are behing on her a bit. This is like her 5th or 6th video.

The Wonder Girls are horrible. There are so many better Asian singers/groups.

  3. im a huge fan of lights, but i have to say i really dont like that video. if you want an entertaining korean band, check out Super Junior
