Will.i.am & Britney Spears: “Scream & Shout”

will.i.am and Britney Spears - Scream and Shout

In an attempt to make you care about his annoyingly-titled fourth (?) studio album #willpower, dance-hop “artist” will.i.am has enlisted the help of Britney Spears for his latest single “Scream & Shout”. Depending on who you ask, this is either the third, fourth or fifth release from the project, so you’ve got to admire the guy for… Um, persistence?

Shade aside, the Black Eyed Peas member recently scored his first number one solo hit overseas with the Eva Simons-assisted track “This Is Love“, so there clearly must be some international demand for poorly-executed “raps” over brain-melting EDM beats…

And you know what? I don’t actually hate “Scream & Shout”!

It’s kind of fun to hear Britney Spears use whatever accent she’s using when she says “All eyes on us”. In fact, I might just sit here and play that moment of the video, over and over again—“All eyes on us! All eyes on us! All eyes on us! All eyes on us!” This is the Manhunt Daily reeeeeeemix!!!

  1. When will he figure out that he’s not talented as a rapper and should focus on the production side of things. What a waste of the little talent Britney has.

  2. why does britney sound like a british robot when she “sings” that part about “turn the shit up. I’m turning the shit off!

  3. That’s specifically why I said I didn’t *hate* it! I know that if you put enough alcohol in my system, I would dance like a fool to this crap.

    I’m only human, after all.

  4. Ugh, I love Britney and I loved will.i.am – two decades ago, when Black Eyed Peas were legit and not The Fergie Show featuring will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas – but this is fucking atrocious. Terrible song, ridiculous video full of product plugs. Brit looks like her usual modern dead-eyed self.

  5. If I cannot enjoy an artist or an artist’s music without being pickled in alcohol I do not want to hear it anywhere.

  7. Haha. I misread this completely. I thought you wrote ‘Willam’ as in Belli and as soon as I realized you meant Will.i.am I immediately lost in.ter.est.
