Ugh, remakes are the worst. There are gaping holes in the heads of Hollywood executives. You know there are original screenplays out there that could be made into kickass flicks. Unfortunately, they’re unproven as money-makers so why not redo something that was successful once before? Blergh.
Shockingly, the reviews for the Footloose remake have been fairly positive. “Shockingly” because it’s a remake of a beloved 80s flick that did not require a remake at all, so kudos to them for pulling it off(?).
The new kid playing Kevin Bacon’s old role is Boston native and professional dancer Kenny Wormald. And he’s cute! And he can dance! You know what that means. You want to fuck him and he can most definitely fuck well! There are other sexies in the film, as well. Miles Teller plays the adorable shitkicker best friend who can’t dance role, and Patrick John Flueger plays evil bully Chuck. Aren’t ALL Chucks evil?
