What’s Up With John Mayer’s Racist Peen?

John Mayer, racist, penis, hood pass, Playboy, Benetton heart, David Duke cock, interview, ridiculous, Black History Month, comments, singer, music

John Mayer picked the perfect time to unleash his trademark inability to censor himself during interviews. How did the "Your Body Is A Wonderland" singer decide to celebrate Black History Month? By using the N-word during an interview with Playboy, but of course! Check out the quote:

"Someone asked me the other day, 'What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?' And by the way, it’s sort of a contradiction in terms, because if you really had a hood pass, you could call it a n****r pass. Why are you pulling a punch and calling it a hood pass if you really have a hood pass"

If that's not enough for you, when the interviewer asked Mayer if black women throw themselves at him, he replied, "My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a fuckin’ David Duke cock." No amount of apologies could make up for this ridiculousness!

  1. Sounds like he has the same dick a lot of gay men have. Only they usually aren’t stupid enough to say it out loud and have it recorded.

  2. I like his music , but as a person he is being a dick and rude. People even if you feel that way share it at a klan meeting not in a mag that is read by millions!

  3. John Mayer from this point on can go FUCK HIMSELF !!! I will never again listen 2 his music .. I am so sick and tired of all of these “DICK face MOTHERFUCKER” making there derogatory remarks and than offering some lame ass apology for there ignorant and hateful statements BTW his dick is a VERY small white supremacist !! If Kanye took a backlash 4 his action at the MTV awards John Mayer should be put out 2 pasture….

  4. Holy crap! As a big fan of Mayer’s, never in a million years could I imagine those words coming out of his mouth! Kanye was thoughtless, self involved and inconsiderate. Mayer was just disgusting and mean! Attacking your own fans?! And seriously did David Duke really need press?! I am very disappointed in him as a human being and I can’t support the career of someone who could say such awful things in this day and age.

  5. David Duke is an American white nationalist, former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and was quoted as saying “”Of course you know the miracle of AIDS, we all do. It’s the only disease that turns fruits into vegetables.” That’s David Duke.

  6. I think the guy needs to cap what he says. A bit outrageous but he didnt mean anything wrong by it.
He was just telling the truth that his dick doesnt get turned on by Black girls, Whats wrong with that? His oppinion on “Hood Pass” Was irrelevant and unnessasary but everyone is allowed an opinion.. even David Duke (Though I feel ill saying that).
    Douche- Aggreed
    Mother fucker- Really??

  7. this is just one of those things that people want to grab onto so they can have another self righteous stand at the podium. he is just a cocky young dude who was trying to be funny and inflammatory and pretty much failed at it. the interview is obviously an attempt at satire – just a very bad attempt. it is doubtful he is a racist, and if he is not attracted to black females big damn deal. it gets really old that if you are not attracted to a race it makes you racist. so by that account does being gay make me sexist? seriously. attraction is what it is get over yourselves.

  8. Well along those lines someone just doesn’t feel comfortable around gay people so why bother hiring them or letting them live in their rental property. It is about personal preference isn’t it?

  9. I agree with Josh. I’m tired of all the sanctimonious rants against people whenever they say something considered un-PC. He was clearly being satirical and trying to be funny. How well he succeeded is up for debate…

  10. i know John Mayer is a joker. he’s always pulling pranks and has a dirty, dry sense of humor, that can be charming to a lot of people. i don’t think his intentions were to be racist at all, but he just should’ve thought about what he was going to say before he said it. And the question was do black women throw themselves at him. No one asked him if he were attracted to black women.
As far as the gay guys….
i’m a black guy, who lives in the south, and is mostly attracted to white guys. LOL, imagine how hard it is for me to meet white guys who are attracted to black guys here. But so many times have i had long chats with white guys who’ve said, “I’m not sexually attracted to black guys, but nothing wrong with being friends.” I can accept that, I’d be glad to have a white, masculine gay or bi friend. But what i can’t accept is when you have a long conversation and they all of a sudden stop talking! Be honest! Don’t want to chat with me, just say so. I can definitely respect that!

  11. oh and another thing, John Mayer is not hot, sexy, cute, or even attractive for that matter. He looks kinda disgusting.
However, i think i see why he feels he can say that word, being that most black people feel they can say it. i’m guessing to him, having a hood pass means being a black person, and a black person can say that word. No one should say that word, and anyone who says it should not chastise anyone else saying it in the same manner as them.
i admit i’ve said it before, all the time, growing up, and now i feel weird saying that word at all.

  12. Not surprised by some of the remarks on this, but clearly people like Josh and Steve don’t get that using the N-word is never funny or satirical and comparing your dick to someone as hateful and awful like David Duke just exposes what truly lies underneath the surface. I have no respect for him as a person or so-called artist.

  13. Wow…Why there is so much sympathy for him? It is plain simple, he was wrong and he should not have made such comments. Period. He should be judged by his remarks, so as anyone else. If it was Kanye, everyone will go outrage. But John Mayer, no; he is young and careless and nothing should be taken so serious. Why double standards? Seriously?

  14. Elvis was a hero to most
But he never meant —- to me you see
Straight up racist that sucker was
    Simple and plain
    Mother—- him and John Wayne
Cause I’m Black and I’m proud
I’m ready and hyped plus I’m amped
Most of my heroes don’t appear on no stamps
Sample a look back you look and find
Nothing but rednecks for 400 years if you check
    -Public Enemy-
I guess that now includes John Mayer.
I know all about the “Context” of what he said, but truth be told, None of us were there to hear the malice in his voice, or lack thereof. The fact that he compared himself to a supremacist is clue enough. He COULD have said, “Even though there are no separations in my heart, I am not inclined or attracted to making love to women of color”. But no, David Duke?
C’mon people. Start looking at the man behind the curtain in all aspects of your life. Sometimes things ARE as they seem.
“Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.”
    Hanlon’s Razor
    But don’t rule out malice.

  15. man this thread is getting more out of control than hitler at a polishh nursery…
    o noes, what have i done D:

  16. he need’s to learn what is proper and better sense of what is right. another example of people with no boundaries, and they think it’s cool. right!

  17. racism – a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
discrimination – treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit: racial and religious intolerance and discrimination.
John Mayer was being discriminatory, not racist. Although the two are intertwined, they are different.
However, to say things like “I’m not into Black guys,” or “I’m not sexually attracted to Black women/men” means that you are basing your attraction preferences on skin color and nothing else.

  18. Race is a cultural institution created by man. In reality there is no such thing as race. Of the hundreds of thousands of genes in our body, only a handful control physical characteristics associated with race (there are more genes for height than there are for “race”). There is only one “race” of human. If cultures around the world didn’t express a preference for lighter skin, there would be no such thing as race.
Maybe someday being of a darker skin color will no longer be a social stigma.

  19. well, tresq!
i do happen to agree with you, on this one!
    however..
..i do have to say that i don’t believe john had any Malicious Intent.
just read the full interview, to see what i mean.
i mean, i’m not *for* what mr. mayer said, but when i consider what was beneath its surface, i am not able to just outright condemn this individual, either.
    you get what i mean?
at any rate, i don’t have too much invested in him, so for now, he is but a little blip on my radar.
