Do you prefer porn with or without a plot?
My feelings are mixed on this issue. Looking back, I can remember when one of my old fuck buddies would fast-forward over any dialogue and foreplay, just to get to the butt-pounding action. Although it frustrated the hell out of me back then, I’ve come to realize that I do the same exact thing when I’m watching porn with a limited time window for masturbation.
That said, it can be extremely hot to witness a story unfold, watching the tension slowly build up as each performer’s drawn to the other. There have been multiple occasions where I’ve blown my load to the “set-up” of a gay porn scene, and I know I’m not alone on this… Sometimes, the fantasy itself can cause more arousal than the individuals acting it out.
Take for instance the aforementioned film My Mother’s Lover. The story, set in the early 1930s, revolves around a young man (Chase Austin) struggling with his sexuality at an all-male boarding school in England. I like a good scene set up, but I don’t really need a full plot. Maybe if the acting was actually good. Just give me enough of the story to make me understand how these two (or more) met and why they are having sex and I’m good. Then get to the action.

It’s just like in real life. You can meet some guy in a bar, go to the men’s room, get your rocks off, and the job is done. Honestly it’ll be really nice when the line between legitimate film amd porn is abolished. The lines are continually blurring with films like Short Bus and projects like Hunting Season not to mention daytime soaps on the one end and then offerings such as this and ManRoyale and some of the more ambitious straight stuff from the Porno side. The son isn’t very good, but definitely not the worst. The “mother’s lover” is very good however. So much so that he makes me want to see this movie. It’s unfortunate that the son didn’t bring anything else to the table other than his pretty face.

When I was younger and just starting out with the timeless art of masturbation, I thought there was no point in there being a plot. Then I started to see how redundant all porn is when you strip away those character or plot aspects. In order to keep things fresh, I prefer some kind of story combined with hot sex. It helps if the guys are at least on the “talent” level of a soap actor, but I know that can be a bit much. What I liked so much about the recent Wilde Road series was the story. I love Christian Wilde too, but seeing him in some worthy material and watching his “character” go down the path he was on made it all so much better. Plot can be great, but here’s the thing. Porn stars can’t act. That makes most plot driven porn unbearable.
